Gamers | NES Classic Edition will offer new features that will bring new life to old titles

This November, Nintendo will release perhaps one of the most anticipated retro consoles of the holiday season, the NES Classic Edition. While we have heard about the price, included titles and other aspects of the console, light has been shed on some new features which could bring new life to classic NES titles.

In a translated radio interview with Nintendo of Canada communications manager Julie Gagnon, it was revealed that the NES Classic Edition will offer the ability to save progress during any point in the game. The console will also offer a bit more when it comes to the visuals, with a mode to simulate the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio, and a emulated mode that will offer hi-resolution in a 4:3 ratio and Pixel-Perfect mode, which is a mode that can be currently found on Nintendo’s 3DS console.
