Gadgets | This pico projector is smaller than your iPhone 6s

While nothing is a perfect substitute for a full projector, having a miniature, mobile version can really get you out of a spot. It is especially cool if it plays nice with iOS, no special cables needed.

FAVI’s J6-LED-PICO projector is a good fit for size and price. Plus, it wirelessly connects to your iPhone 6s using AirPlay so you don’t have to invest in additional cables.

The device measures just 5.7 x 3.0 x 0.6 inches. Considering the iPhone 6s is 5.44 x 2.64 x .27 inches, this is a fairly diminutive device.

Size doesn’t matter in this situation, lumens do. According to the company, this little beast projects up to 1080p (although consumer reviews note that it maxes out at 720 most of the time) with a native resolution of 858 x 480. It features 100 ANSI lumens with a short throw of 1:1, which means that you can project a five-foot image from five feet away. It projects from 15 to 100 inches in size.

It has a built-in 500 mAh rechargeable battery with an estimated two hours of playback. It can supposedly run up to three hours in “eco mode,” but that also reduces the projector brightness.

The screen sharing feature is compatible with AirPlay, Miracast, and DLNA. However, you must be connected on the same Wi-Fi network to use it. Luckily, it does come with HDMI support. So, if you find yourself without wireless Internet, and happen to have Lightning Digital AV adapter, you can still link up.

The J6-LED-PICO projector is available on Amazon.
