Google today has released final factory images of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for download on Nexus 6, 5, Nexus 7 2013, Nexus 9 and the Nexus Player.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow, codenamed Android M, was announced by Google at I/O 2015 earlier this year.

During its Nexus 5X and the Huawei-built Nexus 6P event last week, Google also confirmed that it will start rolling out Android 6.0 in the coming days. Where the Nexus 6P and 5X come running with Marshmallow out of the box, Google continues to serve up timely updates for its older Nexus lineup of Android devices, with the release of Android 6.0 today for Nexus 6, 5, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9 and Android TV set-top box Nexus Player.

Google has also confirmed that the final release of Marshmallow comes bundled with the Now on Tap, which may just prove to be Marshmallow’s killer feature. It is essentially Google Now on steroids, with tightly integrated contextual intelligence. So the next time you receive a message from your friend on say, Facebook Messenger asking you to go watch Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, simply hold down the Home button and watch the magic. As Google explains it:

With Now on Tap, if you tap and hold down the home button of your Android phone, Google Now will show you quick info about the movie and restaurant and help you jump into the right apps to read reviews, see the menu, and reserve a table. Once you’re done, the back button will take you right back to your messaging app so you can respond to your friend.

When will the non-Nexus devices get Android 6.0 update? Well that totally depends on the OEMs. The flagship Android devices of 2015, like the latest Samsung Galaxy S lineup, are expected to get the update before the end of the year.
